Notes

I was a few minutes late so Nutmeg and Helix doubled back for me and then we took it easy until turning around for a light workout. 2x800m at 5k and 2x400m at 3k. The 800s started off feeling pretty easy but I also didn't want to end up dragging the other 2 faster than the 5:15 pace target since I was thinking more about the mile. We seemed to lock in around 5:25 and then we did pick it up a bit the second half of it. For the second one we did about the same but I tried to force 5:15 a little sooner. This is the only piece I also timed and believe it was right at 2:40. For the 400s, I told the other 2 I would likely try to go a bit faster than 3k and got rolling hard right away to keep it under 5 minute pace throughout. I didn't time it but saw a variety from 4:55-4:35 pace with it feeling good but getting hard the last few seconds. The second one was about the same but my watch seemed like it lost tracking the second half of the piece because my watch went to 5:20 pace and I know I wasn't slowing. Helix had to go and Nutmeg called it quits due to stomach and already having a mile more than me. I added on for 2 miles slower and felt good.
