Newman center bike race!!! Did surprisingly well considering the fact that I had a mountain bike to work with. But mark and I cranked this out in appropriate fashion. Started off over at a church in Hillsboro, father gave us his blessing then it was off to the roads! Started out and just went with it. Over by the sugar mill it smelt absolutely horrible, must have been the dump there too. Afer that it was fine. Eventually caught back up to mark and we worked off each other the rest of the time. Felt pretty crappy the first bit but everything worked out by the end. Took a stop outside of reynolds to get some water and food. then finished it up. Passed up a ton of people that passed me earlier. really exciting to see what kind of biking shape Im in. Cant wait to do this next year with an actual road bike. Too bad I cant take any prizes...
Had a good lunch back at newman afterwards. Fun day!
Gonna try going for an easier run later. We will see how it goes...
