Nice little get together on the last day of summer. Perfect weather to run as well so all the better. Got a good amount of alumni to show up this year so it actually made this pretty competitive and im pretty sure we won as well! Got out super quick on this, duerr and ben would proceed to start rolling me and I knew I had no business being up there so I just hung back and did my own thing. They brought back the old course from when I was in middle school, however it was edited because of 212 and all. Came through the first mile in 5:01 and it felt pretty good! Downhill after that and I checked my watch at about 1.4 miles in and I was rolling 4:45 pace! Wow fitness has definitely progress a ton over the summer. Eventually started heading back up hill and hit ol lucifer and died a horrible death. that explains the slowness afterwards then. Crested the hill and then would just cruise in to the best of my ability.
Happy with how everyone ran at this. Hoping for a good year for my chaska runners!
Great end to the summer seeing everyone, saw shaun woodland for the first time since 9th grade amongst other alumni. Hope for another good turnout next year!
