Notes

This was a 6 second PR but still not quite what I was hoping for. My legs felt fairly tired most of the week. I thought it might have been a combination of being nervous for the race and having ran a fairly high mileage week the week before this race. My legs felt pretty good on the warm-up. I ran with Chase Moser. I had never had an actual conversation with him before so that was fun. The race itself was very crowded. At one point early on, I was running on the very inside of lane one and a guy behind me came up on me really fast and yelled I'm right here (as if I was supposed to jump out of the way for him), he pushed me into another runner who fell and I hurdled him. It all happened so fast and it was super intense. I'm just glad I didn't fall. To the best of my memory i think I came through the mile in about 4:44 and 2 miles in about 9:25, which would make my 3rd mile in the ballpark of 4:50. I knew I was slowing down during the last mile, but I still felt like I had some left at the end. 5k has never been my favorite race. It's too fast and I never feel like there is enough time to relax and settle into a groove.

Even if you're not overly thrilled, still an impressive 5k Cholo! Nice work!!
