This MCM was maybe my worst race ever. And that includes the marathon when I got food poisoning from the pasta dinner the night before. My head was never in it. Security took 1.5 hours, and then the start was not organized, and people pushing past me and tripping me and it was just terrible. BUT, lessons learned! Don't run MCM again next year, find a smaller race.
I think I'm mostly sad that I didn't have fun. It's the first time I didn't have a good time, no matter what my clock time was.
