Krash

Holy hell!!! Awesome job. This is my goal in 4 weeks.

Thanks Krash!

It was totally unexpected for me - my training was kind of worse than last year and last year, the same race, I was not able to beat sub 3.

The plan was to keep up with sub 3 pacer.

At half I was at 1:29:59 :). Mile 14 pacer produced 7:03. I decided to go on my own and try to hit ever mile under 6:52. It worked, ha-ha. But I think, a lot related I lost more than 10 pounds last few months. But I will take it anyway :)

That's great. I haven't run a road marathon in 10 years. Just need a 6:52 ave. I have run St George and negative split it many times.

CalBears

Ha-ha! Don't wanna be a bad guy, but St George is not viable comparison - the second half there is simpler than the first half. Santa Rosa's second half is harder than the first half. Seriously, not trying to be an ass. But try to negative split in Boston - that would be different. Just sating that some courses are built that way- to negative split. Like last year I ran Revel Big Bear marathon - at half I had 1:27:17, at the end - 2:50:19. Because first half has hills and second half is downhill

Krash

I get it. You can’t compare some marathons. Yes SG is easy to negative split. I have negative split Boston. Your marathon sounds hard. Even bigger props to you.
