Ran the Rock & Roll 1/2 Marathon in Vegas. My first big race. Like, big in distance and entrants. It took me about 45-50 minutes to actually reach the starting line. My time would have been muchmuchmuch better if I hadn't had to make 3 pee breaks along the way. I stopped my Garmin while waiting for portapotties, and my time was 3:15:00 or so. I also ran an extra .25 mile because I backtracked to a bathroom once.
Wrapped my wonky knee with an ace bandage prior to running, which rubbed against the inside of my other leg and shredded the hell out of a 2"x1" spot by the 3rd mile, and was promptly tossed by mile 5. It's still sore as hell.
Probably should have eaten more than half of a banana for breakfast. I was expecting there to be Gu, but it wasn't available until around the 8th mile.
