Notes
WOW. I was not aware that I had this kind of race in me. This was far beyond my wildest dreams. My "keep dreaming" goal for this race was 1:42, and I thought that realistically I could run somewhere between 1:44 and 1:48. I smashed my goals. I had never run a half prior to this, so I guess I didn't know what to expect, but this was still amazing. Nicole didn't even get to see me finish because she wasn't expecting me until 1:44 or so. Oops! I started out comfortable but faster than I wanted to, and never looked back. I started to feel some right knee tenderness and started getting a blister on my right foot during the stretch where we have to run on the side of the road, mile 7 or 8, but that went away once we got back on the bike path. What an amazing race. Here are my mile splits:
-- 8:01
-- 7:22.5
-- 7:36
-- 7:46.5
-- 7:01.5
-- 7:22.9
-- 7:23.6
-- 7:18.9
-- 7:22.6
-- 7:13.2
-- 7:32.9
-- 7:19.9
-- 7:01.3
.1 -- 0:46.0
