PSA:
Can we stop referring to certain heats as "the slow heat" or just keep those thoughts to ourselves??? I actually really don't like it when people call the least fast heat "the slow heat." I know that's easier than saying the least fast heat, but honestly, there's really no reason we need to call any heat "the slow heat" or "the fast heat"... just say Heat 1, Heat 2, etc. etc. Chances are everyone at the meet knows or can figure out what's going on and which heats are faster (and if you don't, just pay attention it shouldn't be that difficult). Just because we're not running as fast doesn't mean we're "slow." And disclaimer: I don't wanna be a hypocrite I'm totally guilty of doing this too, but it's something I'm going to stop doing. The word has such a negative connotation and hearing someone call your heat slow certainly isn't a mood booster.
