not sure if course is identical to last year or not. even if it is, it's earlier in the season, so i still have time to reach/surpass last year's fitness.
i started too fast, and slowed down inexcusably much in the 3rd and 4th miles (basically to tempo pace). hopefully as i train more i'll be able to maintain a pace closer to 6:00 even in the middle miles.
teddy ran with me starting halfway through the 4th mile. he finished 0.6 seconds behind me.
