I went out in 6:06 pace, felt pretty alright, I kinda wished the time had said faster, but I won't complain. I thought it was a full 8 miles too but it was only 7.8 so I'm a little bit disappointed in that as well. On the way back, it was a bit tougher. The cars weren't as nice, I was running into the snow and wind the entire time. That didn't bother me as much as the compiling of snow at the end of the run. Here I am trying to close it off hard and I'm slipping all over the place. So that kind of sucked. Still closed it off in just 11 seconds slower than the way out, so given the same conditions, that's a neg split. It just kind of sucks seeing a pace and distance slower and shorter than you figured. BUT HEY, it still shows that I'm more fit than ever and I'm ready to set me some awesome PR's.
