The roads were incredibly bad. I didn't much mind that it was snowing and the cold wasn't a problem at all, but running on the roads sucked. I found a little loop that the snowplows had hit, so I did that once or twice and tried running up and down a plowed road, but it was a little bit too busy and a pretty thin road. At a little less than 6 miles in, my need to poop became too much so I ran home. At that point, I just decided to turn this into a doubling day.
I tried running with these little snow-grip things attached to my shoes. They work, for the most part, but they remove all cushioning from my shoes and we all know that I desperately need that support.
