Okay this was pretty solid, and I'm really glad Ty and Jason were with me for it cuz they helped to make it possible for me to get that kind of positive energy out of myself. Splits were 3:04, 3:09, 3:06, 3:08, 3:10. I started at the end of the Kent trail and just went all the way to millennium park. So basically I got out and saw that I was through the 1k pretty quick, but because I had no idea where my body was at race wise I was just like "this is fine, maybe I'm in 15:15 shape, and if I'm not then that's just money in the bank for later in the race" and then there's a slight uphill after the 1k so I just had to focus on running through that and then after that I turned the corner and there was the 26.2 Last Chance 2Q race to qualify for 2021 Boston, so I had to swim upstream through a bunch of people running marathons and so many of them were like "wow hes going so fast! look at him go!" and I think I would have gotten that normally but because it probably looked like I might have been in the marathon, I probably freaked some people out!" but anyways it was kind of mentally hard to fly by people and not slow down cuz they're running the other way so I was like "wow I'm going even faster" but I wasn't. I had to run through the little hump by the bridges and make sure I kept momentum and I am proud of myself for going through it so well. And Ty and Jason helped me to finish it off by biking in front of me and making me close it down.

Mentally they helped me to stay engaged cuz I think I forgot how much mental energy it takes to run to your satisfaction, and they helped pull it out today. I'm also proud of my attitude for running fast and just embracing whatever happens and going for it.
