This was kinda a hard one in the sense that I felt a bit bonked from yesterday. Wasn't exactly prepped for it, but I guess that makes it stronger. I was on the front group for the 8 minute interval, and I could tell the front guys were taking it a bit easier than maybe they should have (Diemer reinforced this after the workout). I was struggling a bit at the end of that rep, so I made sure I didn't pull to far with them, and Charlie fell off pretty hard and I didn't want to circle back for him because I had a good thing going for me and wanted to gauge my efforts off the front group as they picked it up. At the start of the 4 minute one Diemer told me to stay within myself, that I had a good thing going and to not overdo it. I kept myself in check and I think I got in a good amount of grind, but I can come back from the effort and race well. Jack, Micah, and Noah all started to fall off that pack and I used that as the carrot to pull me along. Never really pulled them in, but it kept it honest for me and helped me gauge.

This season could be something special, I need to take every opportunity for improvement and to monitor where I am placing my energy. This could be a big break.
