Notes

Schedule called for 16 w/last 10 at marathon pace. Ran first 6 almost exactly on a 10:00 pace, 59:30 for first 6 miles. Last 10 took 1:29:07, which is 8:55 average. I stopped in the garage for about 3 minutes to gel and drink some water after 8 miles. I felt fairly comfortable during first 6, not easy but not uncomfortable. Last 6, ran first 2 @8:45, then next one @8:19, held at 9:00 for 4th, then seemed I was falling off the pace slowly and then faster for miles 5, 6 and 7. Tried to use the downhill for 7 and made some time back, then last 2 miles got back on track and then some. Not sure how much due to terrain and/or effort and how much due to miles being long/short, but overall quite happy w/how it turned out. I am TIRED now but glad to have made it thru a week I was fearing (Tuesday's lactate threshold run and today's workout.) Now for a step-back week next week.....
