Felt much better today--first mile a little stiff and slow, 2nd mile felt better and 3rd mile felt good (well, it was essentially all downhill, so it SHOULD be easy!).

Had the realization today while walking the dogs that the rule of thumb for rest after a race is a day of rest per mile raced, and by that calculation, I'd be OK w/going very easy thru Friday, so what am I fretting for? Granted, my "race" was not fast or hard by elite standards, but it was both harder and faster by far than my normal runs in the past few weeks, which is as long as I've been back to running. So I'm not going to worry if I'm kind of tired till Saturday.
