Notes

Ran first 4 easy @10:08 pace on Kohler Lane loop, stopped at garage for water. Then 6-mile loop @8:55 pace. First 2 miles 18:30 total, then at 3 saw I was still losing, 27:28, so ran 4th harder, 40:06, then tried to just maintain for the last 2 miles. First 6-mile loop 53:30. Stopped at garage, 2 Snot Blox w/caffeine, water, then out on same 6-mile loop. First 2 miles in 17:52 total, at 3 was 26:36, at 4 was 39:15 (? not sure) and then finished in 52:13 @8:43 pace. Average overall for marathon pace portion is 8:49. Felt pretty tired but not horrible, not like I was coming apart in legs or in breathing. Right inner ankle/heel area is a touch sore, suspect related to wearing Hyperspeeds for the first time yesterday.

Checked last marathon pace run and I did 8:55 for 10 out of 16. This time it was 8:49 for 12 of 16, which is faster but not significantly so. I ran the first 6 last time slightly faster than I ran the first 4 this time, 10:00 versus 10:08 pace. Looks as if paces were less even last time, but also not sure if mile markers were accurate there. However, I think I felt better this time, so I will take the improvement, however mild, and be glad of it. Still have one more of these, 14 at MP out of 18, so will see what happens there.
