Notes

Ran 4 miles for a warmup, first mile 10:10, then averaged 9:10 for the next 3 (believe there were 2 fast ones and a slower one at the end). Then on to hills x8.

Ran 4 hills at a moderate pace, steady up and over the hilltop, no extra effort at the end, just steady. Did not feel bad, times pretty comparable to last time and again temps in 70s and humid but cloudy at least. Stopped briefly, rinsed face, drank a bit, then started the 2nd 4. These I ran a bit harder overall so that I felt it by the top and then pushed up and over to the end. At the end of all 8, I turned around and walked to the fire hydrant, then jogged a bit, then tried to use good form and run a moderate pace (breathig 2/3) till near the bottom, then slowing again before turning for next uphill leg.

I was ready to stop at the end altho probably could have forced a few more if necessary. Wondering if I am not working hard enough or if this is what appropriate effort feels like, since I have a habit of going into marathons exhausted...?

Rinsed face, drank a bit and then jogged a mile and walked 1/4 mile home.
