Notes

Went to Nashotah to run, thought I'd do 8 for sure, maybe 9 or 10 if I felt good. I found in the first mile that I had to walk a short steep hill--legs are still pretty tired, I guess, from hiking/working at FHFarm. It was that "turning to wood" feeling, not just "gosh, this is hard", so I kind of had to honor it...

Anyway, it was probably in the low 70s and humid when I started, almost 80 and no less humid when I finished. Ran except for a few spots for the first 5.5, then had to go to running 0.20, walking 0.05 for the remainder. If I could run farther, I did, and if I had to walk more for a hill, then I did. Figured it was better to keep the intensity manageable and actually get 10 miles in than to quit at 6, which is what I would have had to do if I kept trying to only run.

By 7 miles, hair on my arms was starting to stand up, but I didn't feel real bad, no chills, so figured I'd just keep going, stay on the shaded paths, and just pay attention. Seemed to work. It was hard but I got thru it.

***Splits are like that b/c the first 5 miles I ran virtually all of it. Mile 6 I ran the first half, ran/walked the second half, and miles 7-10 were run/walk as described above.
