Oy vey...ran the 2-mile loop again, this time going clockwise. First mile 9:20, that was downhill and fine. Second mile was shooting for 8:50 to drop by 30 seconds but did 9:00, but uphill leg of loop. Third mile 7:54, which I would have liked at about 8:00, so good for downhill leg. Last leg I felt like I ran about as hard as I reasonably could have and it was 8:10 instead of the 7:45 I would have liked, slow even considering uphill leg. Ran the last mile very easy w/o checking watch. The good: Ran the first 2 miles at a more appropriate pace than last time and mile 3 was pretty much right on. The bad--mile 4 was nothing to write home about. Well, pace is what it is--will try again in a week!
