Notes

This was absolutely the coldest run I've ever experienced. I said 5 degrees on this log for the sake of accuracy, but I would not be surprised if it was closer to 2 degrees or so. I drove to the Provo running path and started there, because I didn't want to mess with icy roads. The path was icy enough. There was only one other runner on it, who passed me from behind and made me feel slow. He was younger, though (by at least 10 years). It made me run faster.

When I got home, Wendy told me that the water was no longer heating (she had just taken a shower and was now bathing the girls). It turned out that nothing was wrong with the water heater (thank goodness), but that the water coming into it was so cold that it just took longer to heat. So that should give you an idea of how cold it was.

It is now almost two hours after my run and I'm still cold. I wore my leggings, which kept my legs warm enough. My feet were cold (baby toes a little numb). The real problem was that everything above my waist (save it be my head, which was warm), was freezing. I only wore a short sleeve running shirt and my Saint George, long-sleeve on top of it. So I was really underdressed.
