Pretty well executed progression run, but not perfect. On the positive side, progressively brought down the pace in the final four miles while running strictly by feel. Glanced at the Garmin only a couple of times very early in the four mile progression section. However, I started this run around noon --and although the temps weren't real high, the sun was still strong & I struggled with some overheating as I increased the effort & pace during the final four miles. Got a lot of practice running through what was mostly mental discomfort during the final two miles as the water fountains were screaming my name. I managed to keeping running hard right past three of them during mile 7, but I finally did give in to the fourth one at the start of the final mile. The break was a short one --15 to 20 seconds to drink and splash some water on my face & neck-- and when I resumed running, I was able to continue to push the pace as I had done in the previous 3 miles. I finished the final mile still running strongly, but was definitely pretty tired at the end. Completed pedestals with lifts x 2, Grant Green routine, leg circuit 2 & the Core X routine after the run. Exercises all went pretty well.
