Not perfect, but a very good race pace run nonetheless. Felt good during the two mile warm up at easy effort. Ran the first 2 mile block at "marathon effort" conservatively, holding it more steady in mile 3 & then picking it up slowly throughout mile 4. Followed pretty much the same blueprint for the middle "slightly faster" block, with a steady transition from mile 4 into mile 5 & then slowly picking it up through the end of 5 and all of mile 6. Eased off slightly early in mile 7 to "marathon effort" & then was able to hold that effort steady & finish the final two miles strongly. Cool down mile was easy & relaxed. Completed entire set of exercise routines after the run.
