Ran consistently til near the end of mile 15. Pace varied with the topography -- slower in the upslopes, faster on the downslopes-- but effort and cadence was steady. Near the end of 15 and beginning of 16, legs tightened & everything fell apart. By 18 I was shot except for spurts. Not even bothering to record the mile splits from 16 on because they are absolutely meaningless.
