Ran the trail with Copper this morning. I decided to take it slow this morning because a) I ran hard last time and thought I could use a little extra recovery, b) I wanted to remove some of the branches on the trail from the storm a few days ago, c) I wanted to get Copper comfortable with going north, d) Copper went number 2 and I had to carry a bag of poop about 3/4 mile, and e) I wanted to see if I could go a bit further. It was hard getting Copper started, but once we got started it wasn't too bad. I had hoped to hit a 13 min/mile pace, but I'm happy with today's effort. At the end I felt like I could have gone further so I'll take that as a good sign. :) Plus there's less debris on the trail the next time I run!
