Last scheduled 20 miler before Vermont. I was bit anxious about the run as I was doing it on my own and had a prescribed pace of 8:19 (MP + 15). I decided to aim for 8:15 per mile and really work on consistent pace. I ended up with an average of 8:09 and neg split. The wind in your face was a factor...felt like I was going backwards at time. Pretty cool, so I wore jacket first half with gloves. Jane came out and met me at 8 and 15. I was right on schdule at 1:06 and 2:00... left her my jacket at 15.

Planned the run with a long hill at 5 to 8 miles, and then a really long, steep hill at mile 15-16.6, and then 17.5 to 18.7 mod. hill. Trying to mimic VCM.

First time running with E-Gels.. I did 3 with three 8 oz of water. Betlt had 4 bottles. Felt good... no bonking or dizzies. Nice part about this run is that it shows me a BQ within reach as I need an 8:30 pace (3:45). Today's run was 8:09 (about 3:38). LET THE TAPER BEGIN! Rest tomorrow, group Tuesday, Wed intervals (8x800), Friday Tempo 5 at MT, Sunday 13 at MP.
