Index: 43. I have to admit that this hill totally psyches me out. I have been dreading this workout for weeks, and for good reason. I had hoped to do six repeats of the hill on Chapel Hill. After the second time up, I was toast. But my pride wouldn't let me give up so soon, so I trudged up one more time. I haven't felt that bad since about mile 22 of the Chicago Marathon. Splits for the three times up:

1) 4:29 (2:10 up, 2:19 down)

2) 4:32 (2:12 up, 2:20 down)

3) 4:28 (2:16 up, 2:12 down)

I just hope this workout will make me a better runner though I do feel somewhat defeated.
