At PtG w XC. Ran ahead to mark trails. #1000 to top, #1200 to gulch, up "Anklebiter" to #1000, mark "Downhell." Circled back to pick up boys on Anklebiter to Downhell. Then back, same w varsity girls. 5 boys (Ryan, Keith, Noel, Lucas, Ben) wanted 3rd loop, so went down Anklebiter, led them up STEEP Nailbiter--then another mile back to exit o Anklebiter. Worked hard to keep up: my race pace to their easy tempo. Ran back on #1000, w trail cutoff, where Herman Vroom caught me. Ran down w him, tho he went w boys on Beaver trail, while I finished on #1100. Felt strong. But now very tired. Near race effort. Record 9 miles here, separate entry for 2 miles of "hills" Out 2 hours, 15 minutes. Probably 15 minutes stopped (marking trail, talking w kids), so 2 hrs running (c 11 miles including hills)
