felt sore in the shins. It was a nice day out and getting out and slowing down is needed. Tomorrow I plan to get out onto the path to run along the gravel path. I want to take a good nice jog out there and maybe pick it up on the way back BUT it won't be a big deal if i don't. I like getting out there especially now because with finals, I feel as though there is a lot of pressure. However, I know that when I do act and go for my run..it makes my day go by much smoother. I am hoping to be able to run and continue throughout the break. I'll grab my younger brother to help me through the cold month. I do especially enjoy running on the paved roads as opposed to running at the lakefront when it's icy. A nice 5 p.m. run sounds very appealing when you get to run along a path that's been paved for you. It's like when we ran at Regionals...man I miss XC. I do hope to find something to push forward with for track. I'm looking forward to running with the team again. It's tough to stay motivated knowing that it'll be a bit before we're all together again, but I do want to make sure I can keep myself accountable. Track isn't really a team sport...but it involves team. Without the team, your results are just a number. And that number, man I don't really care for...it's all subjective. I care about how I feel after a race, how others feel about their races and the fact that we have the mental capacity to push through such a feat despite everything else we do. It's commendable. I want us to continue to focus on these positive aspects...man. Let's roll.
