Somehow was rolling quicker than usual. Love this fall weather. Fall weather on golf courses is really the thing that just transports me back to about a decade ago. I don't know how to explain it, but it hurts sometimes.
It doesn't even feel like me, if that makes sense. That is, the old me doesn't feel like me. But it feels more like me than what I am now, at the same time.
I wish I had half the hope and aspiration now that I had then. I wish I had some noble and grand ambition to be the best at something. Now I work at something, the end of which I am far from certain of. Running is an inherently selfish enterprise, but there is nothing BAD about it. Not sure I can say the same now.
