Notes
If it rains once per week, it will be on my long run. Pouring rain, gust wind. And by the time I finished my run, the rain stopped. How can you be luckier than this? I thought 51F is warm enough to run without gloves. Boy what a stupid decision. The rain and wind made my hand so numb that it was a major struggle to get the gu off my running short. And what a mud quest.
Well, Pearl Izumi Peak is 10 times better than Brooks Ghost for raining days. I guess it is the design of trail running shoes. It does not absorb water and become a block of brick like the ghost. Crocket creek flooded the trail and I had to run in water for quite a while and the Peak did ok. Loved it.
The hill at mile 16 is a killer, At the end of the run I ran out of juice and did not have the desire to pick up my pace. I was so cold, Jie told me that my lips were black when I got back home. Pretty satisfied with this long run. I hope I can do a 7:40 pace in CMM.
