Notes

haha BU mini meet bonk! I don't think everything was lined up for me to "race" well today. Didn't eat much all day (only had a piece of corn bread at 7:30, raced around 2). Never really thought of it as a race. Seeded myself waayyy to fast So my typical race routine was off from the beginning, however it was meant to be a no pressure race. Definitely really hungry during the race, I've had similar problems before and it seems being hungry really drains my energy. I think it stems from low blood sugar problems I've had when I was younger, but just less severe these days. Fell off the pack right from the beginning, my legs just didn't have the speed in them and I didn't want to make it be any harder than it should be. From there I basically just ran comfortably. Never have been a miler, and clearly can't run miles without ample speed work. While it was a bad mile, it contributed to a solid workout and tbh that's all the matters right now. I'm thinking I could have run faster if I had seeded myself at 5:30. Not worried, except can't imagine running a 10k just a few seconds slower per mile right now...
