Notes
This course always messes with my head. There isn't enough scenery so when I finish the race I honestly can't remember what happened during the race, it is always such a weird race for me. Don't even remember thinking about anything or being concerned during any point in the race. Time wise I am very happy. I ran going into the race what I expected to run, so nothing too surprising. Can't complain about how I raced the race. I think it was very smart, I started out relaxed and my first mile was a 6:09, when my overall mile pace was 6:03. After the race the whole thing just felt like a tempo, which is pretty stupid since I should have raced a little better. The only part in the race I felt like I was struggling was in the last 1000 m. Should have stuck with those few girls who were near me in that last 1000 m or so, definitely could have. In other news I got a really annoying wood chip stuck in my outer spike which caused my knee to turn in for the last mile and a half.
Honestly a good day, I shouldn't complain and I am so happy with how the team did, maybe we are finally coming together.
