Really fun race! Just heard about it last week and thought why not? The whole road was really shaded and weather was perfect. The actually bus people from Bolton to Lake George Village so I got to run back, which was a nice break from running out and backs every single day. It was a great way to get a long run in! Much faster than I expected, so I am really happy. First mile was 6:59 and I was worried I went out too fast, but looks like it all worked out in the end. Don't remember my other pace times. They give out prizes for every age group so I got a drawstring bag. I would run it again, but I'm not sure if I would want to drive down from Niskayuna for a 7:30am race. Also, I ran into a bunch of people I knew which made the race so much more enjoyable. I ran with someone for about the first 4 miles before he fell back and then had a few people to push me for the last 3 or 4 miles, everyone was really nice. Winning female ran 60:09, which is crazy good! Not bad for the longest race have run to date. Boilermaker last year was 8:37 pace fro 15K on July 14, it was an extremely hot race, but I think it's safe to say summer training this year has been going much better.
