Notes

Planned a long route Newfield to Sanford to kind of get a net downhill to get ready for Sugarloaf.

Even started at 7am (the same start time as the race).

Happy with it for the most part. The first 15 went exactly as planned. Felt good and did not seem to be working too hard most of the time although through some of it I was definately pushing.

I did plan on slowing down a bit later in the run and take it in easier so mile 16 was not too bad.

17-20 were not quite what I had hoped for though. I really wanted a stronger 17-20 than what I ended up with and I was fading as I finished up. So I still need to work on that.

I was not well rested for this and I'm hoping that with a good taper and more recovery the fade will take care of itself to a point. But it leaves me wondering as I push harder through the race if I'll be able to hang on.

Probably just over thinking things there. Just let it go and run.

I may try to do this one more in the next couple of weeks. The downhill beat up my legs and I think that was good practice. I feel fine now just general soreness after a long effort. I should be able to get a short slow recovery in tomorrow.

Nice run even with the fade.
