Notes

Medium-long and medium-easy. Goal was just to see if I could run today after doing 22 miles two days ago, and go easy for as long as HM if that was possible. Was barely able to walk for 24 hours after that 22 miler, but today I felt much better and the weather was perfect.

Total elapsed time 1:41:16, running time 1:32:43, time stopped 8:33.

Stopped twice to drink water, once to pee, also had to stop and fiddle around with the gel storage problem with the pockets in the new shorts several times (see below).

1) Tried out the new RaceReady shorts with pockets to carry multiple gels. FAIL. The weight of 5 gels spread over several pockets still bounced around unacceptably to me and was disruptive of my running. I also tried carrying 1 in each hand, so-so, and 1 in my hat, but it might fall out. Need a better solution.

2) ALSO need a solution to sweat dripping into my eyes - the hat sweatband gets saturated and drips after a while.

Today I can honestly say I "only" ran a half-marathon distance.
