Ran the Seaport River run 10k today, nearly perfect weather conditions, a bit cool at the start, wore a running singlet and mid-shorts. and Wave Universe shoes. Slight headwind going out, tailwind back on the opposite side of the river.
Last time I saw on the clock as I crossed under it was 37:50, so guessing time was 37:51.

PR - this race is essentially equal to my lifetime best 10k time! Only the second time ever to run under 38 minutes. I was probably 32 last I did it, and that was in Davenport or Reardan, on a course that I thought might have been short.
This age-grades to 85.2% for age M56, so clearly an outlier and/or anomaly. On the other hand, this was the best competition I've ever had for place in a race, with the young high-school aged guy who I raced neck and neck with the entire second half, all the way to the finish line where he out-sprinted me by a few feet. I'm usually stuck time-trialing solo at all my races.
