I started this run not feeling or breathing well and decided to make it a moderate pace instead of tempo run. After the first mile my lungs loosened up and I went for it. About 2 miles I started wondering why I do this, the races, the tempo runs......IT HURTS!!! Anyways I got a bit of a seconds wind heading back up 11th Ave. and started pushing harder. The last half mile I realy picked up the pace. I was unable to sprint from Virginia St. to the car, but I kept a steady fast pace. After two dry heaves and a few seconds to collect myself I remembered why I do it, the races, the tempo runs.....The pain is so quickly forgotton, the accomplishment is not. It's damn good to feel fast again.
