Notes

I wore my HR monitor while on the treadmill. Interesting to see how my HR rose through out the workout even when I kept the same speed for a while.

The first 16 min block was at 6.8 and 6.9 for a mile and then 7. At this point I thought I would be able to go much faster and keep it under the 152 alarm. The next 3 miles were at 7.1 and you can see my avg hr go from 140 to 145 to 149 and the alarm went off, so I lowered it to 7 and it went off again, then again at 6.9 and even 6.8. Very interesting. Of course the level of exertion felt like nothing.

Based on the HR calculations I did with a max HR of 189, I would need to keep my HR at 145 or less for a recovery run like today which makes me think I need to run even slower. Although I need to properly measure my resting and max hr.

On another note, I'm only at 165.5 today after a week of not running and eating every cookie in sight so that's good news!
