Notes
Well before I get to this run I have to say 3 missed long runs in a row!!! This is no good. This now definitely puts me in the least prepared I've ever been for a marathon. Perhaps close to my first when I had no idea what I was doing. Now I know what to do but I am unable to do it. Teddy got a cold Saturday night and April and I barely slept so the idea of going for a long run on Sunday and leaving April alone with a sick Teddy was clearly not going to happen. Oh well. I have really abandoned any time goals now for this marathon. Just looking to finish and feel better than I did at the end of Marine Corps. Perhaps I'll try for a slow marathon bu try to get a negative split. We'll see if I am able to get any long runs in.
This run itself was fine. first 3 miles were sluggish and bleh. Then I felt a bit better and picked it up. I was thinking what my marathon pace could possibly be. 8:30? 8:45? Who knows. The problem is 8:30 feels pretty easy for me but since I have done no long runs, I'm sure I would blow up big time. so who knows.
