I wanted to go a little farther than 8 and make it 20 for the week. My plan was to keep it really slow by keeping my HR low. I really had to slow down in the second half and even then I didn't keep it below 145. It wasn't that hot, but it was crazy humid. And, there all these freaking gnats. I actually sped up in the last 1/4 mile to get out of the tow path because I was getting attacked. My knee felt fine for most of the run and even at the end when I felt it a bit going up the hill back home, I could barely feel it. Now a few hours later it feels completely fine so that's really good. I still can't get over how much fitness I've lost though. Even if I do get back to some serious training, I don't even know if I can get back to enough shape to PR in the marathon, but I'm getting ahead of myself.
