While I was looking at the Pfitzinger plan I saw that in the early weeks it calls to mix in some strides into easy runs sometimes so I figured I'd give it a try. It kind of makes it an easier speed work out. I did 10 x ~100m (.07 miles on the treadmill at 9 -> 9.4 mph. It was nice to run fast for a short burst without really getting winded. I think I may do these from time to time as I am building my base over the winter and eliminate tempos and intervals.
