I think this was definitely the wise choice to take it really slow and on the treadmill rather than do intervals in the heat. So somehow my achilles issue has gone away and has migrated around to the side of my leg to the outside near my shin. I know I've had this pain before and I'm less concerned about it, so that's good. I will continue to ice stretch and roll and do this week as planned except all easy, so no tempo run on Thursday. Just 9 easy miles :)
Hopefully next week I'll be back in business and able to do some intervals again.
