Holy cow. This was easily in my top 5 hardest runs. I'm trying to figure out what happened compared to last week where I did the 18 pretty easily and even picked up the pace at the end. Today I just started to fade at around 14 - 15 and the last 3 miles were agonizing. I guess its good for mental toughness. My guess is its the combination of a few things. Went out a bit too fast, for how hilly a course it is. I don't think I drank enough water the day before and that morning. I think I waited to long to run which made it a bit warmer and also less food/energy. I had 2 good and my water/gatorade mix but that was not enough. After I came back I pretty much collapsed and my face and fingers were feeling numb which is new for me. Even a couple hours later I still feel completely drained. I'm getting tired just typing this. Definitely need to cut it back next week and try again in two weeks with a slower pace and hopefully more food/water.

The average of the remaining miles was 9:10 so I was definitely slowing down and I would guess that my last mile was around 10.
