Holy moly, this was awful. So I ate like a jackass all day. I had 3 donuts at lunch. 3! What was I thinking? Then I went out to a dinner date and had a beer, and then an hour and change later decided I'm fine I can handle this. I'm tired, but that's what this is all about.

This was serious mental toughness. I'm just not that fit, so just getting through this was rough. I basically didn't really let my stomach digest my food throughout. The last couple miles I felt nauseous. But I just kept pushing through. I clearly should have waited to do this the next day, but I really wanted to be done with it and it's been so damn hot lately.

So chalk this up to mental toughness training. Legs and feet felt alright, but my foot was expectedly sore after. I put some ice on it, and it feels alright the next day.

Also my watch died at the end, but I estimated I was doing about 10:15 pace for the last couple miles. A complete death march.

Dude this is a character-building epic run! Way to push through - I need to learn how you shut your stomach down during the run, as I've had some hard times too running after a stupid dinner. Think taper, think cooler temps, think Ragnar baby!
