first half of the ride was filled with rain, which made riding a bit tough as the hybrid bikes tire are very thin and get slick with the lightest of sprinkles. I had to take a slow a lot of areas and really easiest so I wouldn't wipe out. Eventally I exited the neighborhoods and stated onto the WO&D trail around miles 7 into the ride. From there I headed towards Ashburn and the pace picked up. There was a good stretch of 10 miles where I was riding around 18/19 mph consistently in the rain. Those areas were flatter and I was able to do that. Felt good overall, I had one sharp pain when my foot slipped off the pedal.
