2nd place in the LL steeple. I'm a little disappointed with how I raced today. I led for the first 4? laps in 5:03/5:04 and then Kurvach took over. I didn't fight as hard as I should have to stay with him. At one point my lead leg heel hit a barrier and I stumbled and lost some ground. I feel like I have a lot left in the tank. States should be a true test of fitness.
Negatives: a couple sloppy water jumps, sloppy hurdles toward the end, slow second to last lap, should be able to close the last 800 faster.
Positives: No pain after or during, slight negative split, second fastest steeple ever, 13 seconds faster than last year.
