Well, last run of the season. The original plan was to do 11.x so I could have averaged 70 miles for the last 12 weeks, then I reduced it to six so I could hit 60 on the week, then my achilles/calf was pretty sore so I just went directly to school after a bit to pick up my car. I wish I could transition right into the off-season by running just 4 to 5 miles a day for the next 7 to 10 days, but I'm just afraid that the only way for my legs to get better is complete rest with strength training to make them stronger. I also hope to do ultrasound on my achilles everyday that I take off (minus Saturday when the trainer is barely open).

The season was a struggle--that's obvious. It is hard to run well with constant nagging injuries (calf/achilles, then shins, then back!), even though I got some very consistent training with great training sessions in. I also understand that I have some mental issues with racing--I over-analyze rather than just run the damn race. At least I have the next two track seasons and next fall's cross season to run better.
