News and Sentinel Half Marathon (RRCA WV State Championship)--Parkersburg, WV1st WV, 4th USA, and 11th overall$290 (250 for top WV and added 40 for age group)1:12.30/5:32<a href=""http://extras.newsandsentinel.com/2011races/Half%20Marathon%20Run%20Overall.html"">http://extras.newsandsentinel.com/2011races/Half%20Marathon%20Run%20Overall.html</a>Solid effort over the constant rolling hilly course and with the sun blaring down another hot Parkersburg race morning. Felt very controlled through 10miles...9th and 10th mile splits of 5:22 as I picked it up and dropped CDR legend Kenyan Gideon Mutisya who I had been working with for the previous 2-3miles. He even gave me the ""Go Jason"" comment as I passed him for the last time. Saw Marian around 10.5 and she said no one that could take money from me was in reach so with the legs starting to tire down I just eased up a bit and got to the line.
