Whew!! Had a nice little trip to NYC ths past weekend, but didn't get any runs in on account of the a) terribly uncomfortable sofa bed I had to sleep on for three nights and b) the approximately 5 miles of walking I did every single day in flip flops, which left my shins in an increasingly dilapidated state. I could still feel a bit of tension in my right shin toward the end of my run today, but it was nothing compared to over the weekend. But anyhow, I just wanted to start my week off with a nice, easy run. I'm going to take it easy this week, no real hill work or anything, I might do some intervals, but nothing too strenuous. I want to be nice and rested up for Sunday, because my body has been tired lately, and I'm afraid that I may have already peaked. I haven't done any long runs in like a month, and I'm very worried about that, but I honestly just haven't had the time. So we'll see how it goes, I think all it comes down to at this point is me a) not ingesting any gluten in any way shape or form in the few days before the race and b) just having a good day. I have good days and bad days, and I just need to make sure that the day i have is indeed good.
